C-130 launches in Guam

Operation Christmas Drop is a tradition as a training mission for the United States Air Force, which began in 1952. Then, the crew of a WB-29 aircraft assigned to the 54th Weather Reconnaissance Squadron, formerly assigned to Andersen Air Force Base in Guam, flying a mission in the south of Guam in the Micronesian atoll Kapingamarangi. When they saw the islanders greeted the team quickly gathered a few items that were on the plane, put them in a container withand had a parachute attached to the charge, while the ride back. Today, the tradition with donations from residents and businesses of Guam continued. Each field has gone from a plane C-130 weighs nearly 400 pounds and contains items such as fishing nets, building materials, powdered milk, canned food, rice, coolers, clothing, shoes, toys and school supplies.
